Ashley's Awesome Analyses. #1 - John Travolta & Adele Dazim

John Travolta had his reasons...I'm sure.

For those of you who don't know, I'm a bit of a storyteller/conspiracy theorist. I like to put a "why" behind everything I see. Even if (more like especially if) that "why" is a complete fabrication from the depths of my over-active imagination. I'm sure you all saw or heard about the John Travolta Oscar situation. In case you haven't, the long of the short is that he completely butchered Tony Award winning actress Idina Menzel's name when introducing her for the performance of the power ballad "Let It Go" from Disney's Frozen. The name he went with: Adele Dazim. But why? Here are my theories.

1) He and Idnia are having a secret, sultry love affair. His wife was starting to get suspicious. To kill her suspicions, he decided to make a very public, "I don't even know who this woman is!" statmement by calling her the first random name he could think of. Unfortanately, Adele was his wife's stylist from a couple years back, which is why the name was so familiar, yet unfamiliar. Kelly had her brutally murdered later that evening.

2) Idina has recently joined the Church of Scientology. Adele Dazim was the name given to her by the Church's leader. It's the name of his favorite alien songstress.

3)The people of Hollywood have a secret, special language. Since the Oscars is a gathering of Hollywood's elite, teleprompter messages are written exclusively in this language and it's up to presenters to translate on the fly. If you noticed, his wasn't the only error of the night, it was just the biggest.
